The need for telehealth services may be disappearing with the successful roll-out of the vaccine, but it looks like the demand is here to stay.

2020 changed the way patient consultations took place. For example:

🧐  In France, teleconsultations shot up to 1 million each week, from 10,000.

🧐  In Norway, the share of teleconsultations with a GP rose from 5% to 60%

This shift happened forcibly, as in-person consultations were simply not safe enough. The benefits of doing things virtually, though, were visible for all to see.

Suddenly, our routine visit to the GP became a lot more secure, convenient, and at a lower cost to the care provider.

All reports are suggesting that these benefits have seen a huge increase in demand for telehealth services. But the use is predicted to only grow in the future. Here are our predictions for 2021:

πŸ‘‰ Care management for chronic illnesses.

πŸ‘‰ Continued focus on mental health.

πŸ‘‰ Patient demand to grow even more.

The longer this trend persists because we kinda have to, the tougher it'll become to go back to the old ways, without having the benefits of the new.
