Gartner published a pretty neat press, showcasing the growth of wearable devices.
The entire market has seen an increase in spending of almost 20% over the last year alone. That's a lot of dollars, should be about 81.5 billion to be exact by the end of next year.
Gartner attributes this growth to the rise of remote work, renewed fitness goals and increased health concerns. I wonder if COVID-19 had anything to do with that...
The question remains, why am I excited about this?
With wearables now enjoying increased adoption and improved performance and effectiveness, digital health applications using these devices will only become more viable.
